What begins as a chronicle of Liat Atzili’s parents, sister, and children’s efforts to secure her return from captivity, becomes a portrait of conflicting impulses towards anger, indifference, and compassion straining the bonds of one grieving family. HOLDING LIAT won the Berlinale Best Documentary Award in February 2025 and has continued to receive accolades. The score, by Jordan Dykstra (composer of the 2024 BAFTA and Oscar-winning Best Feature Documentary 20 DAYS IN MARIUPOL), will be released early 2026 in tandem with the public theatrical release of the film. “Holding Liat (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack)” consists of 14 cues from the film and the track-listing is as follows:

The score was performed by Christopher Duffy (glass harmonica), Evan Johnston (piano, kalimba, harmonium), J. P. A. Falzone (piano bow), and Jordan Dykstra (viola, guitar, programming, synths). The soundtrack was mixed and mastered by Jordan Dykstra and released by Editions Verde.
